Meet David Maloley, DDS, FAGD

Dr. David Maloley grew up working on a family farm in Lexington, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and later his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. As an undergraduate, he had the opportunity to work as a student athletic trainer on the sidelines for the Cornhuskers during the National Championship seasons in 1994 and ‘95.

In 2003, Dr. Maloley completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, then served as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army for the next five years. While in the army, Dr. Maloley was stationed at dental clinics in Giebelstadt, Germany for two years and Vicenza, Italy for two years, providing general dentistry services for the local military communities. After he returned to the U.S. in 2007, he worked at a private practice near Charlotte, NC for two years before relocating to Colorado to open Vail Valley Dental Care.

Dr. Maloley is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Since graduating from dental school, he has completed over 900 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Maloley strongly believes in being involved and giving back to the community, and he is an active member of the Vail Rotary Club, Toastmasters and Junior Achievement. He also enjoys traveling, cycling and running. In fact, he’s completed races in almost every state and country he’s lived in: marathons in Chicago, Myrtle Beach and Venice, Italy, and half-marathons in Wuerzburg, Germany and Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Maloley and his wife Karah are the proud parents of Bennett Davidson Maloley, born on May 5, 2010.

Meet Our Team

Karah Maloley
Business Director

Karah Maloley was raised in rural northwest Kansas – St. Francis, to be exact. She completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas before moving to Wyoming to begin her career in the mental health field. After marrying David, Karah continued to work as a civil servant overseas. In 2007 she co-founded and served as Chief Knowledge Officer of EQmentor, a professional development company. She completed her Doctorate of Management in 2009 and is helping David with the business side of Vail Valley Dental Care.

Karah is on the board of directors for the local United Way and is an adjunct professor at Colorado Mountain College. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cycling, watching movies and playing with her and David’s boxer, Brux. She also keeps up with Nebraska football and Kansas basketball. Being Bennett's mommy brings Karah great joy!

Erin Drumm
Dental Assistant

Erin grew up in the Vail Valley and attended Battle Mountain High School. She went to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with degrees in Sociology and Psychology in 2007. She pursued more education and attended the Colorado School of Dental Assisting in Ft. Collins. Upon completion, she returned to the area to pursue a career in the dental field and is excited to join Vail Valley Dental Care's team. Outside of work, Erin enjoys hiking, biking, running, crafts, and cooking.

Kelsey Musser
Dental Assistant

Kelsey Musser graduated from Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN, in 2006. A native Coloradoan and avid hiker, biker and skier (water and snow), she is enjoying living in the mountains and being a part of the Vail Valley Dental Care team. Kelsey also enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and making her own cards.

Jamie Edwards
Hygienist

Jamie is originally from Iowa. She has lived in Des Moines, Omaha, the Chicago suburbs, and in Colorado since 2004. She and her husband, Chris, have been together for 18 years and were married in 2007. Their greatest joy is their son, Cooper, who was born in July 2010. Jamie’s hobbies include snow skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, sewing, taking photographs, and socialization! If she were to win the lottery, she would like to visit South Africa and adopt a child who needed a home. Then she would buy a luxury boat and have a second home somewhere on a beach. She aspires to taking her son to work in an orphanage so he can learn to really appreciate and not take for granted the luxury of a loving home.

Nicole Snyder
Office Manager

Nicole was born and raised in Michigan. She received her bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration from Ferris State University in Northern Michigan in May 2008, then moved to Houston, Texas to start her career in the health field. Her husband, a golf pro, completed an internship here in the Vail Valley in 2006, and they've been trying to make it back ever since.

Nicole couldn’t be more excited to be living in the mountains and being part of the Vail Valley Dental Care team. She enjoys snowboarding, cycling, traveling, spending time with her nieces, taking pictures and scrapbooking.

Ashley Leonard
Hygienist

Ashley was raised in the prairie-topped Loess Hills of northwestern Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Passionate about community health, Ashley pursued further education and received a degree in Dental Hygiene. As an avid traveler, she has always enjoyed Colorado as a vacation destination and relocated to the Vail Valley to begin her career. She enjoys the beautiful scenery and sunshine filled activities that the area has to offer. In her spare time, Ashley loves hiking with her two dogs, biking, snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
